Hello,
It’s a long story.
I am a student originally from El Salvador, barely spoke English in 8th grade until I attended a bilingual school in El Salvador in 9th grade (2009). Graduated from an international school in Doha, Qatar in 2013.
I was very involved in high school and though my GPA was not the best (2.78) my curriculum was very rigorous (plenty of APs and Honors)
US citizen

Fell in love with International Affairs after attending two consecutive summer programs at Georgetown University in Qatar (SFS-Q). Applied to this school, accepted, was my first choice but parents convinced me to go to Seton Hall in NJ. WORST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE.

The international relations program at SHU seemed great but it was NOT.
Attending SHU was a total mess. International Relations program was not what I expected at all, administration of the school was useless, etc. I could go on and on about this but I want to make this short.

During part of the 1st semester and all 2nd semester I:
-Did an internship at an Immigration Law Office where I learned a lot
-Had 2 part-time jobs as a Podcast Producer for the university radio and as a waitress
-Was part of the E-Board of the Latino Student Organization

Academically I was very unmotivated, plus I did not prioritize well at all (which is greatly my fault) so did really bad in some of my classes.
Over the year:
Statistics F
International Relations F
English I (resolving, will get an A)
Core Class (what was supposed to be based on philosophy, but professor only kept making the class “Introduction to the Vatican” EW.) D
Chinese Elem I D
Chinese Oral A
Diplo class B
Diplo class B+
Diplo class B-
Int French I B+
Int French II B+
Practicum (Internship) P:Pass

2.4GPA. HORRIBLE.

I withdrew from SHU. I lost my scholarship and did not make sense to go back to a place I hated.
Right now I am back home and taking 4 online courses at the Harvard Extension School (HES)
I am taking Economics, Statistics and two Environmental Studies classes that I am falling in love with. I have always had a passion for Environmental Studies/Science. In fact, it was my 2nd choice of major when applying to college.
I am taking Econ and Stats because I know they would be useful to transfer and the other 2 classes to explore the field/major.

I took a slow semester while I find better options for my future. I did not want to rush to anything just to “not loose time”.
I want to keep studying. I feel like my life is so messed up now because I did not make the right choice at the beginning.

All I want now is just to study something I like and get a degree from a place it is decent to live and motivates me and that it is not $33,000+
I qualify for FedAid but my main problem right now if finding the right place to transfer to and that this place actually accepts me with those horrible freshman grades. All I look at I don’t qualify for or would be looked like a very weak profile. Guaranteed admission programs, GPA requirement, etc.

Any help/suggestions? Advice? Anything?
I feel like a failure and I know I can do much better than this.

Suggestions in CT, FL, CA, OR, WA will be greatly appreciated.
