Transfer Applicant Enquiry

I read somewhere on this forum that transfer students ti NYU do not need placement tests if they have completed 30 credits at their previous college. But the NYU website does not mention that anywhere.
The website say that transfer applicant must complete certain courses at their previous college (humanities, science, and english). But how strict is NYU about theses requirements? Will they reject an application if they weren’t met?

You have to send in your standardized test scores. If you are applying for junior transfer then the AO will not put a lot of weight on them.
It may depend on the individual school, but missing a few of them will not harm you. You should attempt to match as many courses as possible though.

Thanks for reply.
What do you mean by AO?
And I forgot to mention that Im an international student, if that does any difference.
NYU only asks for transfer to take an English, Science and Humanities. And I’ve taken Biology and History, which fall under the science and humanities requirement, buy no english classes yet.

AO = admissions office
I don’t think there’s any difference in being an international student. But the absence of an english class won’t make them reject you, it will just force you to have a tighter schedule if you are accepted.
