My senior and junior year of high school, I have unfortunately, to my deep regret, really fell behind many of my peers in the college application process and not only that, but I have also neglected to study better for the math section of the SAT. Something that I deeply deeply regret and have only realized how much I hurt my own chances of getting into the top universities in the United States.
My SAT score is at a low 1230
My GPA is around 97
Rank is 26 out of 800 students
I am half Korean half Russian, but I grew up in Uzbekistan (does this help in the college admissions process)
LOW income student
If I write an exceptional essay, as well as supplemental essays, If I score a 4.0 GPA, join clubs in college (most likely in Baruch College), find a way to show my interest to the other college, and show my overall improvement and commitment will I have the possible chance to be accepted into a top university with a full scholarship? For example, some colleges I want to apply to are Cornell, Smith College, and Northwestern.
Which colleges will I have a better chance at? And is there anything else I can possibly do to boost my chances?
