I plan on getting associates in accounting at ASA Institute in brooklyn, ny. Then I want to transfer to a 4 year school and major in exercise science.

Will all of my credits transfer?
If they don’t will it take me more than 2 years to graduate?

Even if all of your credits transfer, they might only transfer as electives. You need to find out what the requirements are for a degree in exercise science. How much of your current coursework could fulfill these requirements? Do you need to take any extra biology or chemistry now so that you are ready for that program?

The bigger problem though, is that ASA is does not have regional accreditation. This means that many colleges and universities will not transfer the credits, or will only do so on a course-by-course basis and then only after you specifically petition for each course. You need to find out a lot more about where students have transferred, and which courses they have received credit for at the college/university they transferred to. Try to get accurate information from the students themselves.

Good luck!
