Hey guys! So I’m finally transferring out of my small state school as I’ve recently been accepted to transfer to Dartmouth! I’m still awaiting decisions from Brown, Columbia, and Cornell.

I want to become a physician, and I’d LOVE to go to another top ranked university for med school, but I don’t know which undergraduate school to choose (if I’m lucky enough to get into all of them). Does anyone know which of my Ivies has the best pre-med success rate to get into med school?

The schools I am considering are Dartmouth, Brown, Cornell, and Columbia. Of these, which has the best reputation for a successful pre-med program?

I’m likely majoring in Cognitive Neuroscience or Biology, if this makes any difference.

Sources are appreciated!

Reputation is moot. They are all the same.

Brown’s undergraduate neuroscience (and I assume CogNeuro) is better than the rest - but this won’t really impact your ability to get into med school.

You should also read this thread a few down from yours: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/pre-med-topics/1498937-jhu-vs-brown-pre-med.html

These schools however are VASTLY different in many other things.

You did not stated you reason for transferring. So, it is impossible to answer your question as it is not clear what you are pursuing by transferring. You have state your goal of entering the top Med. School. The Med. School would not care much if you graduated from your current UG or any of the places that you are transferring to. Again, what is the goal of transferring? Are you miserable there, do not fit with the student body, not satisfied with academics,…etc.?
