Transfer chance for English major to Davis or Berkeley

<p>I’m just finishing up my first year at a CC, and I wondering what my chances are for getting into Davis or Cal as an English major. As of right now, my GPA is 3.5. I have no W’s and don’t plan on dropping any classes. I have quite a few extracurriculars; I play music, and volunteer when I can. I also work part time in a restaurant and worked last years as an intern at a local newspaper.</p>

<p>Also, could someone please clarify what class I should take to fullfill my Quantitative Reasoning and Mathematical Concepts IGETC requirement?</p>

<p>you can tag with davis for that major iirc and for Berkeley you need to bump that gpa to near 3.7-3.8 to give yourself a good shot.</p>

<p>For Math class i would say take a stats class it’s probably the easiest transferable and most useful math class for a English major i would say</p>

<p>Sounds good, English is not very selective. Bring up that gpa though, 3.7ish and you’re solid.</p>

<p>And for Math, um whatever is on your IGETC forms at your CC. Stats is probably the easiest but I’ve never taken stats.</p>
