<p>hi. I go to carnegie mellon and I really dislike it here cuz it rains all the time which makes it depressing and everyone always works 24-7. Also, cmu does not emphasize a liberal arts education enough as it is all overshadowed by computers. Thats why im considering transferring to northwestern where people are more well-rounded and more interesting. </p>

<p>I’ll warn you, the weather here isn’t much more uplifting- the skies are a constant steely grey in the winter months, and the cold cuts to the bone. It’s great in the fall and spring though.</p>
<p>What year are you at CMU? What’s your SATs? Will your recs be good?</p>
<p>I’m no expert on transfer admissions, but a 3.4 is almost certainly far too low for transfer admission.</p>
<p>acceptance rate is about 30 for transfers; you have the potential with that gpa, though it’s a reach, so apply to a lot of other schools</p>
