Transfer Chances

Hey,

I’m a freshman currently at a medium-sized, public university in the Midwest. Since I’m a political science major, I’m currently looking into transferring to a school on the east coast that can better fit my needs.

What do you all think my chances are for these schools?

  • George Washington University
  • American University
  • Boston University
  • James Madison University
  • Northeastern University
  • Miami of Ohio
  • Ohio State (safety- I’m originally from OH)

Here are my stats:
High school gpa: 5.2w/4.8uw
Graduated in top 10-15% of class
ACT: 26 (retaking in Dec.)
SAT: V: 620 M: 540 (retaking in Dec.)

  • Held the same job for 2 years, working 15-30 hours per week, internship experience in law my senior year.
I was very active in debate, forensics, journalism, art club, student ambassadors, and music. I held leadership positions in most of my activities.
  • Took almost all honors and APs.

College gpa: 4.0

  • Active in residence hall association, I’m an executive in my residence hall, and I’m also in student government, and work about 15 hours per week.

I realize that my standardized tests are bad, as I tend to choke on such tests, however, I’ve been doing well in similar testing environments in college. I’m also very strong in writing – so I can hopefully write a strong essay.

Any input would by greatly appreciated.

any ideas??
