Transfer common app essay length?

<p>On the app itself, there is no set limit. However, if you preview it says up to 500 words. Mine is currently at 700, would tthis be ok? I read somewhere that the 500 limit was just a guide line. What do you guys think???</p>

<p>that weird…after i read this, i uploaded over 1000 words essay and it shows up when hit the preview document button. I don’t whats wrong with yours</p>

<p>While the limit is 500 words, it’s not enforced. That’s to say that you can get away with a 700 word essay so long that you bare in mind that your essay must be engaging enough to be that length. If you have nothing interesting to say and there’s fluff in the essay, a longer length will hurt you.</p>
