I was accepted in Georgia Southern University. I had 90+ transfer credit accepted. However, I realised that i have to re-take most of the courses. If it’s accepted, why do i have to re-take them? Why is this so? Could i have misunderstood the transfer credit policy somehow?

I am damn frustrated by the event. Any explanations will be greatly appreciated. Hope to hear from people who had the same situation too.

University feels that the courses you want to transfer did not meet the difficulty of their equivalent courses. Or they felt the goal of the course at your college was different then theirs.

Or they just want more money.

Can’t do much about it, sorry.

but i recommend calling them up and asking about every course to be safe. if you’re from a community college there are usually agreements between community colleges and in-state universities.
