Transfer credit issue, and parking permit?

Two issues I’m having and I’m curious if anyone has dealt with them before. I’ve been enrolled in engineering since Fall '09, and that was the only semester thus far that I have gone here.

First, I took MTH197 at Washtenaw Community College, which according to the [transfer guide](http://www.engin.umich.edu/transferdatabase/college.jsp?id=262) should transfer as Math 214. However it showed up on my transcript as Math 201X departmental credit. I think this may have occurred since that’s what they give in LSA, but in Engineering it should transfer as 214. Anyway, I am wondering what I should do to correct it. There is an email there, is it better to email them, or to go in in person when classes start.

My next issue is a little more pressing. According to this chart, I am of junior standing, which is what is necessary to buy a parking permit. However, on my transcript it has me listed as “Engineering: First Year.” When I try to buy a parking permit, it tells me I am not eligible, and does not give a reason, but this is my best guess as to the reason. It gives me a number which I’ll call on Monday morning, but I’m wondering if anyone has dealt with this issue before and if it is something that will be fine as long as I call the number, or will I have to do other things to correct it?

Thank you.
