Indeed. I’m mindful of such a guy who was in my masters cohort (at a global T10) who everyone liked but no-one really had a high academic opinion of, based on class discussions etc. And then he scored the prize for the top overall grade on the exams/assessments.

Wait for the transfer decisions, then repost. Assessing your situation in a more well defined context is likely to produce different opinions. Currently, you are receiving generalized advice based on broad factors; specifics matter. Nevertheless, if admitted to Yale, transfer !
It seems many of us disagree and feel the OP should stay at Tufts regardless of application outcome. It seems this dilemma is mostly about the parents (and maybe the OP) being able to say the name of the college attended and have it recognized by family and friends abroad. Career outcome will be fine at Tufts, and OP is happy. Tufts is an excellent university in a great location.
