Transfer Extracurriculars

So, over the summer I realized that I want to double major in Human Rights and Political Science, however, my current school only has a minor in HR. The school that does have a double major in Human Rights, however, is a school that I was waitlisted at the previous school cycle. I may throw in an application as the school is still a dream school to me, but I would also be contempt at my current uni if I’m not accepted.

I’m having a problem though with volunteer opportunities. Since HR is a vast subject, I’m afraid that volunteering everywhere ( food bank, women’s reproductive issues, LGBTQ+ rights, Model UN, etc.) comes off as unfocused. I believe that my EC’s in high school were quite disorganized and I don’t want to repeat the same mistake again.

How do I carve and develop a specialization in human rights? I’m passionate about all the scopes of it, but I feel as if a spike might look for cohesive. Do I just volunteer to my liking, or narrow down my career path for post- college (something that I’m worried about) / transfer success?
