My daughter was rejected or wait listed at the Hyper schools and ended up enrolling in a woman’s college which has proven to be a bad fit socially. She is making the most of the opportunities and academics available to her this year, but she really needs to transfer. Can anyone offer any advice? She graduated 2nd in her high school class, took all the AP classes she could, but her SAT composite scores were only 2140. She seems to be doing quite well in her engineering program this semester, and has gotten involved in extra curricular activities at some of the consortium schools. How can she go about finding the right fit? Do you have any tips for getting accepted as a transfer? How important are essays for transfer applications? She still dreams of getting into her Hyper school, but I’m thinking that’s unrealistic. She’s doing as much research as she can, but she’s beginning to feel that she doesn’t fit in anywhere. This whole college experience has turned into a heartbreak.
