I go to the Rhode Island School of Design as a freshmen, but I really want to transfer to sister school Brown or even Columbia. My grades are pretty good (3.8 GPA) and I’ve taken 13 3 credit courses, (6 liberal arts and 6 studio arts). I really want to switch my career path from painting/studio art to a more art-history focused degree. How can I do this?
Make an appointment with the transfer advisor at Brown, and ask what is possible. That will give you a general sense of the process that will be applicable wherever you do decide to apply.
