Transfer from GSU

I'm currently a freshman at Georgia State University, and want to transfer to Tech and major in Computer Science or Computer Engineering once I get my required courses done with. After my first semester, my current GPA at State is a 3.74 and I plan to raise it in the following semesters before I transfer, as I feel I could have done better. From what I've read, getting accepted as a transfer student is not all that hard if you are above the required GPA and have the required classes, but what I am more concerned about is the difficulty of the classes at Tech. Keeping HOPE scholarship is a necessity for me, and I am wondering how difficult it is to hold a 3.0+ at Tech?

This should answer all of your questions.

Also, the average GPA at Tech is 3.0-3.1.

Having just completed my first semester here at Tech after transferring in, I can say it is certainly doable. I'm pretty happy with my 3.64 (3 A's, 2 B's) and believe me when I tell you that you'll have to have a strong work ethic here to succeed. So long as you're willing to put in a good deal of effort and don't snap under the pressure (it's not too bad) then I'm sure you can do it.
