Transfer from Northeastern U to UCI

Hi,

I’m from California and I am currently a student at Northeastern U. I am majoring in Business Finance and minor in Entrepreneurship. I wish to transfer to UCI after one year at Northeastern University. My GPA currently is a 3.36 and it will be raised after this fall semester. What are my chances? Should i wait another year? Or should I just go to a CC back in California and transfer from CC?

Thank you!

Going to a CC would probably save you a ton of money, but then you’d have to wait another year to transfer (UC’s typically only accept Junior transfers from California CCs).

Actually, now that I think about it, you might have to apply as a Junior transfer no matter where you’re coming from- I think they want you to have completed the lower division course requirements for the major you want to transfer into.
