Transfer from out of state?

Hello!

I’m from Washington and I’ll graduate with my AA from a CC in WA next March ('12).

I was wondering what my chances would be to get accepted to the U for Spring semester '12?

I have a 3.5 cum. Transfer GPA and I’ll have 75 quarter credits completed by the end of Fall quarter '11 (you need 90 to get your AA degree).

My majors are Political Science and Journalism.

ILoveTheSun…It sounds like your transfer GPA is pretty solid, but a lot will depend on which of the U’s Colleges you’re looking to transfer into. Each has their own specific requirements, and I’d guess (just like freshman applicants) that CBS and CSE are the two hardest colleges to transfer into. Here’s a link for the transfer requirements for each particular college. Good Luck!!

poly sci / journalism are CLA, avg. GPA of Fall '11 accepted = 3.35, high chance of acceptance

Thank you so much guys! :)

I contacted the Office of Admissions sometime last week and pretty much asked them if I had a shot and yeah, they just told me on the phone that I will most likely get accepted if I apply.

I really hope that I’ll get in. I absolutely loved the Twin Cities when I visited and the school seemed really cool - huge! - but really, really cool.
