Transfer from state college to UCLA

Hi,

So I’m planning on going to San Jose State this fall and I want to transfer to UCLA. How do I know what classes to take to get into UCLA? I went to assist.org but that only has classes from community colleges not state college. So how would that work?
Please advise.
Any help will be really appreciated.

Thanks

You would be FAR more likely to transfer to UCLA successfully if you do so from a community college – it’s just the way the system is set up. However, if your grades at San Jose State are top notch, they might make an exception to the rule. During your Freshman year, follow your current educational plan and take only the classes you need to move you towards graduation, focus hard and make the highest grades you possibly can. I find the upper floors of the library make great places to study. Then, in the Fall of 2013, apply to UCLA as a Junior transfer.
