Hello! I’m currently a second-year UCR commuter, and I’m wondering how difficult transferring to CSUSB might be after I finish this academic year off. Our family might have gone over the Cal Grant A ceiling last year, and while I’m expecting to pay my 4th year, paying ~$26k+ for two years is just completely unreasonable. My GPA is 3.63 if that carries any weight. I think the deadline for Fall 2012 might have already passed, but I’d be fine enrolling for Winter 2013 (Would give me more time to save-up, definitely)

While we probably aren’t going to go over the ceiling, it’s always a possibility, and given how much I’ve learned just searching Google and ending up on this site, I’m sure this will help somebody beyond myself.

Hello! I am currently a student at UCI and by the end of this quarter I will have finished my first year here. Prior to UCI I always saw myself at CSUN. I really did not have a UC in mind at the time, but after getting accepted, I allowed the pressure of my parents to control me and to settle for going to UCI. Dont get me wrong, I love UCI! Its an amazing school and I have had a great first year, but I have done some thinking and I am coming to the realization that maybe I rushed into things and didnt do the right choice. At first I was happy because being accepted to a UC was a great honor and it proved that I was capable of a UC…but to be honest, UC’s are more research oriented and UCI in particular is big on the sciences and engineering, something I really am not feeling. I also want to maybe transfer to CSUN because its less expensive and I can double major in 2 majors i want as opposed to just one in UCI. I know that UC’s are higher ranked than CS but idk im very lost and confused! I know you havent gotten an answer for your question, but i hope things have worked out since, and if maybe you can help me or advise me if you were able to do this change
