<p>I know someone who is interewtsed in transferring form UCSD to UCB. He currently has a 4.0 cummulative GPA at UCSD and he’s in the premed program there. Now he decided to switch to prelaw and he’ interested in attending Cal. Is it possible for him to transfer to Cal into their political science dept.?</p>

<p>Well there is no “pre-law” at CAL you just switch into any major. The most important thing to do when transferring from one UC to another (besides GPA and prerequisites) is to have a good reason of why it is necessary for you to transfer to that UC.</p>
<p>When looking at the numbers, I believe that you have just a good of a chance as a applicant from a community college.</p>
