Recently, I was accepted into Umich lsa as a freshman, but soon I realized that I’d made a terrible decision applying there after a campus visit at the end of last month. The school is just overwhelmingly HUGE and I felt the environment was just not right for me.

Actually, had I not been waitlisted and rejected by all the other schools that I applied (Columbia, Dartmouth, Williams, Amherst and Pomona), I would never go to Umich. It was my only safety school because I thought I would not end up there. I am not complaining that it’s not a good school. It certainly has great facilities and awesome departments that I am interested in. But after getting rejected by my first choice school, I figured out that a Liberal arts education is what I really want. So I decided to apply for transfer to the following schools for the spring term next year:

Washington and Lee University
Vassar College
Hamilton College
Grinnell
Colby
Kenyon
Trinity in ct

My stats are as following:
SAT I 2230 SAT II 790 MATH2 690 US Hist, hs GPA: 3.85(unweighted)
AP: 4 Cal BCm 5 Microecon, 5 Macro, 5 US Hist

Moreover, I’ve never been to any of these colleges myself and I’d like to hear some advice from someone who is currently attending one of these. Is it hard to get FA from these schools?
How good is the environment on the campus? Is the transport convenient there? How well do these colleges prepare their students for graduate schools?

Could anyone inform me what is the chance for me to get into these colleges as a transfer? Is there anything I should improve on? I am willing to work hard to make up for anything I am short of.

Any thought or help will be much appreciated :)
