Transfer from UW

Hi guys,

I was just wondering if anyone knew how an undergrad student could transfer from one university to another. For example, next year I will be attending UW Seattle but I’m very dissatisfied with my situation because I really wanted to go to Georgetown. I was rejected from GU but I am hoping I can transfer. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Look on the GTown web site for transfer admissions.

I’ve moved your thread to the Transfer Students forum, please see the following threads to get a better idea of how transfer admissions works and specifically for Gt:

As entomom pointed out, review the Official GU Transfer for Fall 2013 thread for some insight.

Transfer from a 4-yr to GU is doable and not unheard of. Students are accepted every year, a relatively small number due to high Frosh/Soph retention rates. If you’re heart is truly set on GU, start planning now to ensure pre-reqs will be met; and maintain a strong GPA, at least 3.6 if you have excellent ECs and an excellent essay.

Have a back-up plan if transfer to GU does not come to fruition (stay at UW or transfer to another university).

Thanks everyone. It’s greatly appreciated!
