<p>I’m applying for poli. sci and middle eastern studies. My personal statement is strong – it deals with my background in the middle east and the outreach work I have done there and how that has impacted my major/life goals.</p>
<p>I don’t see why you can’t get in then… All your ECs make you stand out because they are related to those majors. I am a bit skeptical however since you stated a lot about what you will be doing in the future, not as much as what you did in the past. Sometimes other non-related activities still have an effect. Have you been involved in other activities? Try to give as much as possible.</p>
