Transfer Housing & Hotel School

I’m very interested in Cornell’s Hotel School and I was wondering if the SHA classes are located near the housing for transfers.

Thanks

or does hotel have its own housing?

The Hotel School does not have its own housing - students are members of the Cornell University and as such live in dorms or apts or fraternity houses just as all the other students do.

Transfer students this year are mostly on West Campus but also in Hasbrouck - go to the Cornell website and get the link for maps - you can look at the campus map that way. It looks very close from West Campus to Statler where the Hotel school has classes - it is a very good sized hill you climb

You might also try using Googles satellite maps to get an idea of the size and nature of Cornell’s huge beautiful campus.

Most Hotel school classes are held in Statler so once you are there , you don’t cross campus as much as students in other majors might.

I’m a guaranteed spring transfer for the hotel school and I was wondering where freshmen spring transfers dormed at.

I visited over the weekend and my tour guide told me that she thought that freshmen transfers would probably stay at a designated transfer building in north campus with all the other freshmen, but she wasn’t really sure. does anyone know for sure?

Hotel school students have their own housing…The Statler Hotel.

Hahah, that would be cool :P

yeah im sorry for asking but the campus (and map) are sooo big so it was easier to ask someone who would know

I’m pretty sure almost all transfers will be on West Campus next year. Hasbrouck is temporary. From my knowledge…

Spice - if you get an answer from Housing or the Hotel school - will you post please - there is a Spring transfer freshman from my area and I’d like the info to advise her also - thanks…
