Transfer Housing

An important factor in terms of transferring is being able to assimilate within the student body, the best way I believe is by living on-campus. My question is does anybody know about the transfer-housing situation at USC, Cal Poly SLO, UCSB, UCB, UCSD.
In terms of availability and overall satisfaction?
Thanks for any input

I know about UCB. UCB, honestly, has a horrible campus–old buildings, old rooms–wallpaper/painting on walls peeling off, up to four people per room…basically …not very good. [this is from my experience in doing a 3 week program there.]

I have “heard” about USC’s housing that it’s pretty good and comfortable…but that’s just what I have heard.

I’m pretty sure USC doesn’t have any transfer dorms. You would have to live in off campus apartments, which kind of sucks (especially since it’s a dangerous area). I definitely agree with you that living in on campus housing is important for your first year. It’s the easiest way to meet people.
