Transfer...How do I look more appealing?

<p>Hello everyone.
I am currently going to be a sophomore at CSUN (California State University – Northridge) in fall 2010.
Now, I am not pleased with the school, so I will transfer for my junior year. Thank God my parents are willing to pay for my education…so the college cost actually does not matter.
Anyway, the classes here are so easy, but here is my question:
Does it look better to a school if the transfer student:

  1. Takes two college honors classes, and receives B’s in them or…
  2. Takes two regular classes and receives 2 A’s, while having more time to partake in groups, community service, etc.
    Bear in mind, this is on top of the other two classes I will take = 4.
    I have a CSUN GPA of 3.88, but b/c I transferred in a community college class from junior year that gave me a C, so my current GPA is 3.66.
    Anyway, what do you suggest? What else can I do to look appealing?
    I do not have too many extracurriculars, but I do own a vintage eBay store when I sell restored clothing from the 1920’s to 1980’s. Hell, I brought in $20,000 last year with that biz, so I think that is something to brag about!</p>

<p>dude DEFINITELY FOLLOW MY ADVICE when i tell you to take those crappy regular classes and Ace the **** out of them…wanna know why?
in high school, i was in an all intensive honor program, and graduated out of h.s with a 3.0 thinking schools would value my curriculum …my friend took crappy classes and got a 3.6 and not only was the work easier and more relieved, but he also got into some pretty good colleges himself.</p>

<p>Ideally, take the honors classes and get As.</p>

<p>Is it possible to take regular classes in the fall, and then take honors classes in the spring? Some, but not all, schools ask for midterm grades, and there’s usually room for a professor to note that the grade only includes the midterm, and 70% of the grade is TBD.</p>

<p>If you are certain you will make B’s in the honors classes, Id say play it safe and take the classes with guaranteed As. They have no way of knowing if that class was offered as honors and thus won’t count against you.</p>

<p>Just make sure you don’t go over the max credit you can have before transferring.</p>
