Right out of high school, I applied to a number of schools and I chose to attend Rhodes College. I was accepted to other schools like UGA, Dickinson, Denison, College of Charleston, etc. After getting to Rhodes, I really did not like the school for a while and my grades and class attendance plummeted. Long story short, I took a leave of absence and my first semester was wiped clean. I won’t be back until next fall but my GPA is still a clean slate. If I wanted to consider transferring anywhere, what do you think my chances would be of getting into a school like UGA? All they would see is that I chose to take a leave of absence (which I can simply say is because I wasn’t happy there), and I was accepted out of high school.
