Transfer/Previously accepted

I was accepted for the Fall 2009 semester, but decided to attend Arizona State University instead because they offered me more scholarship money. Both schools have well-renowned journalism schools. I visited UMD last spring and really liked it. I was also accepted into CIVICUS. The transfer deadline is NOV 15th, but they strongly recommend applying early. I plan on submitting my application early next week. Are my chances really decreased for being somewhat late with my app? Does it help a lot that i was previously accepted? is there anyway that i can defer my initial admission?

IF you got into an LEP you will get in again. You may not get into LEP because the program has limited numbers, but you will get in. Now get the app done.

Good luck

keep in mind that nothing’s ever certain, but I would say you’re definitely in. Nice work.

You’re in based on your stats.

Now its all, how many people applied before you a) in your class and b) in your major. I’d say you’re probably safe considering you don’t have a popular major for the DC area – if you were interested in Political Science/IR I’d be less sure.
