Transfer Process

Hello. I’m thinking about transferring for my junior year in college. I’m majoring in Biology/Premed in my current college. I’ve been doing some small research on some schools just reading their policies and instructions for transferring but i am completely clueless as what to do…

So how should I start this process? What steps should I take?
Is this very similar to applying as a freshman?
I’m just really lost in this process…

also which are some transfer “friendly” schools out there?
I was generally thinking about applying to BU, Cornell, Columbia, Yale (maybe?), and some other…

THank you :)

Start with the sticky threads.

Transfer Admissions 101 tells about the process and factors involved.

The transfer rate thread will give you some indication of which schools are more ‘transfer friendly’. No, Y is not transfer friendly, with about a 2% transfer acceptance rate.
