how hard is it to transfer to university of texas at austin as an out of state applicant?

It’s not easy, in Fall 2005, 85% of transfers were in-state, the rest out of state.

I got in as an OOS transfer from ca, UC Riverside…i applied with a 3.83 and had 54 quarter units,… which is 33 semester units. But at the same time i took hard classes, engineering physics (for science elective), 3rd-quarter calc (sequence and series), and also had upper division stats. In addition i am a res hall senator, intramural sports, thats about it. I applied as sophomore transfer. High school info, 3.7 weighted, 60/490, 1160 SAT old (700m, 440v), no e/c’s.
