Transfer Question

Hi,

There’s a good chance that I’ll be going to UCSB (yay) next year, but I have a quick question. Not that I’ll be going in thinking this - I definately won’t - but I just like to know my options. If for some reason I decide that I don’t like UCSB that much, how hard is it to transfer to a private school? This may seem like a stupid question, since I know nothing about the transferring process, but would it be possible to transfer to a very selective school such as Harvard, Brown, etc., or would I be limited to less selective schools?

Thanks!

Don’t take my advice to heart, but those schools might already think you are fine at a 4 year university and will take others over you.

If you transfer to UCSB and take 1 year of courses, you would be in a senior standing according to the number of units you have. Colleges don’t transfer seniors in.

UCSB is an awesome place…most likely you will not feel like transferring out.
