Transfer student, 3.2 gpa, I want to know my chances get into UCSB

3.2 gpa, with 6 Ws, 1 F but made up with A-
I did not explain why I have excessive Ws and my F. I thought it would be better to leave it like that; I look up and see trends says if there’s no sob story, just leave it, since grades explain itself.
I had TAG UCSB, and which I completed all prep-req’s and major requirement, IGETC certificated
Having a gap year to work for my future tuition, explained this when they ask where you spend your earnings, and in additional box I wrote having gap year because I finish all require courses and ready to be transfer
(UCSB is my top choice, and only one I am worrying right now)

Applied to Economic and accounting major in UCSB

I also applied to UCI, UCD, UCSD, UCR, UCSC, UCM

Can anyone make a guesstimate, or any info helps?

Please, I really need you guys’ opinions or experience.

If you TAG’d UCSB and it’s successful you will get in. You probably should have made a reference to why you had the Ws in the additional comments, but it really doesn’t matter. If they want an explanation, they will ask you in Jan or Feb.

The website lists the minimums required, but if you want to be competitive, your GPA should be higher.
Your writing here, suggests that either you are an international candidate, or you have very weak writing skills.

Make sure you can afford the OOS fees. What the CCC’s have as residency requirements are NOT the same as what the UCs require.

@lindyk8 thanks, really thankful for you to reply this!
I was nervous, cause the only downside from my app was my Ws and the F. Otherwise I met requirement on GPA and prep- req’s

@“aunt bea” I’m an immigrant, and yes, my writing skills aren’t that good…
Thanks for the info you shared! I met the requirement, and I have enough budget
Thanks again for replying, any info helps:)

I agree with everyone above, you should definitely have explained why you received those Ws and the F. It doesn’t have to be a sob story if you frame it correctly. You went through a hard time, yes, but then you moved forward and proved that you could do better!
