I’m planning to transfer to NYU’s Hotel management program next fall (2016 fall)
Could you guys please help evaluate my chance to get admitted?
Background:
International student from Hong Kong, currently in a community college in California
Fluent in Cantonese, Mandrine and English
Internships:
One internship from last summer, in China, related to human resources/translation
Will be working for intern in 2016 summer, related to Hospitality
Prizes/Awards:
Not much academical awards from high school
Won several singing contests held by my high school
Participation in student organizations and activities:
Speaker of International Student Orientation Event
Event helper of ASFC for once
OBD representative(Organization Board of Director) of Economics Club Winter 2015
Language Exchange Club Vice President 2015
Current Accumulative GPA: 3.65/4.0
Besides, does anyone knows what are the courses that is guaranteed transferrable to NYU’s hotel management? I am pretty anxious that I didn’t take any course that they need! Although I’ve checked with NYU several times, via emails and phone calls, they said that they don’t really have required courses…
I have taken Microeconomics and Macroeconomics though, as well as all the college level English classes. I have also taken a Elementary Statistic class and a Accounting class. I have also taken a bunch of GE classes (music, three anthropology classes, photography, sociology, basic chemistry, geography)
