transfer student or freshman applicant?

<p>HELP!</p>

<p>Im an international student from singapore.</p>

<p>I have just graduated from high school.
I will be enrolling in a arts school, If i complete 3 years at the school i will graduate with a diploma, similar to an AAS...</p>

<p>If i only go there for a year, and then apply to US colleges, would i be considered a transfer OR freshman applicant??? </p>

<p>And will it be harder to get accepted as transfers?</p>

<p>Most colleges consider transfer students to be students with any previous college coursework. If the arts school transfers credit over to U.S. colleges then I would say you would be considered a transfer student - but I would contact the U.S. schools to confirm that the courses at the arts school are equivalent to ones offered at the U.S. schools.</p>
