Transfer Student: Simmons College vs Eastern Nazarene College

<p>Hello!</p>

<p>I am a 24-year-old married transfer student. I graduated with my A.A. from a college in Montana and am now living in Massachusetts, looking to finish my Bachelor’s degree.</p>

<p>My ultimate goal is to become a health service manager. I have extensive experience working as an office manager in a medical setting, so I think this is a good fit for me.</p>

<p>I have been accepted to Simmons College and Eastern Nazarene College. I am having a lot of trouble choosing. ENC offered me an exceptional aid package. My out-of-pocket cost would be negligible. (I am a practicing member of the Nazarene Church.) Simmons offered me a small merit scholarship. My out-of-pocket cost would be $17,000 per year. </p>

<p>I know that Simmons has a better reputation & better networking potential. BUT… is it worth another $34,000 in debt?? I already have $10,000 in student loans. </p>

<p>Any input or advice??</p>

<p>Honestly, if their both about on par, there is no reason to waste that much money.</p>

<p>ENC is a fine college, and while Simmons may be ranked higher, hardly any school is worth the extra debt you would incur. There is a large Nazarene church in my area and many members go or have gone to ENC with good results. I think there is plenty of networking potential at ENC. Get the highest gpa that you can, and your possibilities for work or grad school will be great.</p>
