Transfer student

Hello, right now I’m a sophomore looking to transfer into a 4 year university with a big football program. I first attended northern Arizona university where I had a GPA of 3.0, then I transferred to my local CC where I had a GPA of around 3.5. so basically im wondering what colleges you think I can get into. like I said I want a school with big D1 sports, but I would also like a school that has a decent business program, I’m not too picky with location although I would not want to go to school in the south other than Florida.

other information: male, from California, played varsity baseball for 4 years, took AP classes, and have improved every year since my first year of high school .

Thank you!

do you have any cost constraints?

What made you decide to transfer from NAU? If you have no cost constraints, you have a huge number of choices, especially with out of state publics like Oregon, University of Nebraska, and Ohio State. By the way, is there any reason you’re not considering the South? Some parts of the country, particularly the rural areas are far more conservative than most Southern college towns.

Slightly, id say that the most would be around 45,000, but if its one of my top schools I could make an exception

I transferred out of NAU because it was never my top school, I initially got into better schools like Oregon and Wazzu, but couldn’t attend for financial reasons. what are some more prestigious schools you think i could get into, you think i have a shot at Penn state Maryland or FSU. Thanks!

Some of those schools inclduing Penn State and Maryland are more expensive out of state than WSU. If you couldn’t afford to go to those schools from the get go, what makes you think that you can afford them now? Have your/ your family’s financial circumstances changed?

In all likelihood your options will be constricted to the Cal States (Fresno State has a rather popular football team, although it is in Fresno), and some of the lower UCs which lack big football programs.

Well ill be able to afford some of those schools because its only going to be 2 years there and my sister will be graduating college as well.

By “FSU,” I assume the original poster was referring to Florida State, which has low out-of-state tuition, and a low cost of living: <a href=“FSU Admissions | Error 404 page not found”>http://admissions.fsu.edu/freshman/finances/costs.cfm</a>.

Going to FSU out-of-state is almost the same price as attending Penn State in-state, believe it or not.

I know you don’t want the South, aside from Florida, but the University of Alabama might be worth looking into.
