I just completed my freshman year at Indiana University, Bloomington and am looking forward to transfer. My current major is Business and computer science. The transfer process seems like a very overwhelming and competitive process as of now and was looking for some advice on how I can transfer to a T20 school (top choices: umich, cornell, penn, columbia).
Stats:
ACT/SAT: 32 ss/30 best and 1400 SAT
Freshman year GPA: 4.0
ECs: founded a frat (Chi Phi ) and current secretary for it, Mentored a class (introduction to informatics) spring semester, part of an acapella group, won and organised some case competitions at IU, looking forward to start a machine learning club at IU which has already partnered up with some non profits in Bloomington.
Interning at a global advisory firm rn in my hometown and taking 3 online classes.
My major reason to transfer is just the kind of environment I want to be in. It seems like I am just becoming a good employee at IU whereas my aspiration is to become the best possible me as a leader (hella dramatic i know). Plus Bloomington is very dead cuz it does not even have a downtown area since I am from a big metropolitan city originally.
Any feedback/advice would be appreciated!!
