Hi, I’m planning on applying as a transfer student for fall 2012, but still working on my essays… If you don’t mind - when did you finish/submit your application and how long did it take them to get back to you with your acceptance? Congrats on getting in =]

it took me smthg like 1 months to finish my application. I started it beginning December. I did not receive the acceptance letter yet but I have a 4.0 GPA with 35 credit hours so I assume that I will be accepted. lool

Considering that I haven’t even applied yet, I can’t say for sure that I will be attending, but I’m applying for a 2nd bachelors in electrical engineering. My previous degree is in econ/math

Hi I’m applying for admission for fall 2012. I’m a junior with a 3.95 hoping to be admitted as a EE major. I submitted my app and essays on Thursday. I requested my transcripts the next day so hopefully they’ll be upload on mystatus check in a couple of weeks.

One question I did have though is that on mystatus check it showed I needed to submit three transcripts. Two of the show that they need them from a cc and a university I attended. The other just said “US College” and I have no idea what that means. Has anyone else had this happen?

hello! I Will be applying for Fall 2012 admission. gpa as of right now is 4.0 with 15 credit hours completed hopefully I can maintain that in the spring semester. I too will be a mathematics major, and i would like to dorm at San Jac.
Goodluck to you all

I was accepted last year and got a full scholarship to a smaller private university in state. I’m thinking about transferring to UT and am filling my stuff out. Is that going to make a difference??

I have a 3.7 and a good private college.
Advertising major, english & italian minor
will have 31 hrs from college, 12 from APs
Student Senate, Programs Council, Ambassadors Program, & my own radio show

Hi GrimFandango it didnt happen to me.
I have a question for you though, in the website it says “A maximum of 25 semester credit hours in electrical engineering transfer courses may be counted toward a degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (for students entering in fall 2012 and after).”
Does it mean that if let’s say you have 60 semester units, only 25 units are gonna counted?

No, it is referring to electrical engineering courses that have been taken at another university. It means that they will only accept 25 hours of electrical engineering courses, if you have some.

BTW, I got my problem fixed. There was an error in mystatus check so I called admissions and got it removed.

I think they will make a decision around april-may

I changed my mine now I think that will stay at San jac or Duren. I think we should get to know each other a little bit more before the fall. It is always good to know some people before you start classes in a new school!

just to let ppl know before they apply, i got in as an OOS (California) with a very low efc and the aid offered is terrible. Its like 2,000 in grants and 2x,xxx in loans lol if u cant afford it dont apply, unless you can get scholarships…id rather attend a UC where ill be given 21,000 in grants…good luck to everyone though!

i applied to the college of liberal arts…sure…

GPA: HS- 3.3/4.0; College- 4.0/4.0 from a CA JC with 70 units

ECs: SIFE officer, tutor, family business, guitar, drums ,etc
Work Experience: shift manager, host, host, busser–for about 2.5 years

I sent in 1 letter and a kinda crappy transfer resume which was basically a regurgitation of my app. activities list lol it only took like 3 weeks to get accepted…i think juss cus of my gpa and the major i applied for…but like i said the FA was terrible…also, they only accepted 53 of my credits when UCs will take 59…i understand why but just want to inform people before they set their heart on austin and things dont work out as nicely as they might expect.

Accepted 2 days after they received my updated transcript… they must really like me!
