Transfer Students in Law School Admissions

So basically, Im a pre frosh that has been given guaranteed transfer to Cornell U. I was just wondering even if I have the high GPA, and LSAT score, with major summer work experiences, will the fact that im transferring affect my chances?

And because its after my first year, will the change in my extracurricular activities on campus affect law school admissions?

Any transfer students out there who went through this process and what activities did you guys have?

Plus overall, how many activities usually on campus or what type of profile extracurricularly does some who gets into HYS have.

All help is appreciated.

Bump???

Bump???

Transferring shouldn’t hurt you. Why do you think you can’t get involved in ECs as a transfer?

No im only saying so becuse my ativities and leadership positions will change as a transfer student and I am worried that this will hurt me for HYS.

Are u sure a change in ECs due to transfer doesnt hurt anyone?

So at the first campus, you’re president of the Podunk College Republicans, and at the second campus, you’re just a member of the Prestige U. Republicans because you assume that you can’t get elected president at Prestige U. Is that what you mean?

I wouldn’t let that keep you from transferring. You don’t know how you’ll do at the second school, and ECs aren’t typically the reason you get into law school, anyway. It’s not like college that way.

I’m also not sure how many leadership positions you can expect to have as a freshman, especially if people know you’re leaving.

Was a transfer student and I managed to hold several leadership positions by the time I graduated. But it really doesn’t matter for law school admissions, so I wouldn’t worry about it anyways.
