Greetings, I am a student currently studying at UC Berkeley visiting program and I want to transfer to school of general studies. I wonder if i have a chance to get into this school? My background is as follows. I am interested in applying for politics related major.
Background:
Chinese man, no green card/American citizen identity
School 2 years study at an elite Chinese university with finance major and take a gap year
half year at UC Berkeley visiting program and half year at UCLA visiting program.
GPA: 3.9/4.0, TOEFL: 112/120 SAT:1540(740+800)
Working experience:
1 year experience for adminstrating company of my family with more than 200 people working in it. Public affair intern at top VC, governmental affair intern at top PE and an intern at Chinese securities regulatory commission.
Publication:
Second author of a paper in a top governmental research for financial regulators
If you have met the requirements for the one-year gap, then yes, you can try. Your GPA, SAT scores, and ECs are good, you just need to write well in your autobiography and thoroughly address all the questions in the prompts.
