Transfer to Columbia.....

Does the college an applicant wants to transfer from matter? Does it matter if an applicant transfers from Rutgers or NYU. Who has a better chance? Same chances?

you’ll probably have a better bet at the Transfer forum, but while I’m posting…

I think it does matter where you are transferring from: a 4.0 from a Comunity College vs. a 4.0 at Harvard mean different things.

Between Rutgers and NYU, it is probably best to go to the place at which you’d be most happy. Given how difficult it is to transfer to a school like Columbia, you probably want to matriculate at a place you wouldn’t mind spending 4 years.

I’m applying to Columbia transfer student, currently at NYU… if you have any questions about anythin, feel free to PM me.

depends on the stats but good stats at NYU will look better than good stats at Rutgers. There are however a lot of transfer applicants from NYU. Bottom line is that ur chances are very bad no matter where you want to transfer from.

Darn it, I am also planning to transfer from UCONN to U of C, Georgetown, Yale or Columbia. My chances are low at all of them since they are known for their high freshman retention rate :-/
