This is my first post and anything will help. So I am currently at a Community college and i am in my 5th semester (3rd year). I have been accepted to CSU Fullerton for spring semester as a Comm major and my problem is should i accept my admissions offer from CSUF or should i wait until the fall semester (3 years in cc) to “try” and transfer to a UC.
Is waiting for a UC an extra semester, not knowing if i will even get in, really worth it? 1 1/2 years in CSUF vs possibility of UC
My GPA is 3.30
It depends if you were planning on apply to the UCs for communications as well. Communications is a very competitive field. Fullerton is one of the highest ranked CSUs. It is the CSU that is known for business and falls outside of LA so I can only imagine that the communications/public relations department is very well put together. Ultimately, I can’t imagine that attending Fullerton rather than the mid-tier UCs would make that much of a difference. Obviously, UCLA or UCB would make a difference, but those are insanely competitive programs that regularly toss out applicants with 3.7+.
Additionally, if you plan on attending graduate school for a masters, then know that your final degree is the only degree that matters. If you come to Fullerton and kill these comm courses, then it wouldn’t be that difficult to attend USC or a UC for grad school.
