Hey all,

I’m hoping to transfer to HSU in the Fall of 2012, but it looks like I’m going to be shy a few classes if I do that. Specifically I’ll be missing Calc, a bio class, and a chem class. These are major requirements beyond the general ed.

Does anyone know the chances of getting in with these classes missing?

Alternatively, does anyone know if HSU takes transfer students in the Spring semester, or know where I can find out if they do?

Which HSU are you talking about? Humboldt State?

Whoops, yes, Humboldt State. I wasn’t even thinking about the fact there are multiple HSUs.

I just spoke with a rep today and apparently no, this is not a problem.

I applied to HSU, got accepted “conditionally” based on finishing Statistics, English 1B and Speech 1A. When I didn’t pass stats, my admission was withdrawn…I called and spoke with an admissions counselor and she said that there was no way to fix it this semester and to try again when I had finished all the classes. So I would say it’s pretty important to finish the classes specific to your situation, but if you have just general ed classes to finish, it shouldn’t be a problem.

oh, and yes, they do accept applications for spring but their website says "Applications for Spring 2012 admission will be subject to change pending status of the state budget situation.) "
