I am a transfer student and applied to UCSD, UCI, USC, Boston University and U of Illinois-Urbana Champaign.

My high school gpa was 3.7 (unweighted) and I received composite score of 1960 on SAT I. And I got 720 on Math IIC, 800 on korean, 600 on chemistry.
I wasn’t one of those top students yet I was above the average student.
I was accepted to UCI and Pepperdine University during my senior year at high school as international business major; however, I decided not to go since I really wanted to go to USC so I decided to go to CC instead.

Unexpectedly, I didn’t do well at community college. I received 2 W’s and few D’s and F’s and by retaking those courses, I got 3.4 gpa. And There are two more courses that I am retaking this semester. So if I get A’s in both classes, I’m expecting to have gpa 3.9 with Academic renewal. I also attended two other CC’s and combining all three school’s gpa, I guess I might have about gpa 3.4

I thought I would get into UIUC easily;however, I was just notified that I was rejected. And it says, "Deny - Incomplete - Program Clsd: Application was incomplete when program closed. " I applied as an Accounting major and there were two courses that I did not complete. However, I do not exactly understand what it means to be denied because the application was incomplete when program closed. Does anyone know what it means?
If I was rejected because the major was closed (however, they did not mention that on the website) or I haven’t complete prereqs, I am planning to appeal the decision with an alternate major (Economics) since it is less competitive.

Since, I am rejected from UIUC, I am very disappointed and thinking that I will be rejected from all other schools. My college counselor told me that since I was accepted to UCI before, there might be higher chance for me to be accepted yet I am not sure… my gpa is pretty low and I haven’t taken ENG 2 yet. I just dropped the course this semester because I hated my instructor so much. I might take the course over the summer.
Anyways, please give me some comments.

by the way, does anyone know if it’s real competitive to transfer to BU?
