transfer to Umich

I’ve accepted as a student in Umich Ann Arbor. The school asked me to send all the final coursework here in China before enrollment, but I don’t want to take part in the exam this term in late June or July. Can I?
And I know that I can have 60 transferable credits, then how many years I will spend to finish the undergraduate there? Now I’m a Junior and I want to finish my Bachelor Degree in at most two years in Umich.
Finally, could sb. know the total expense of Umich a year?
Thanx!

You should be able to graduate in two years. You will meet with an academic advisor, who will help you plan your courses.

UMich is around $40,000 per year. It costs half that if you are a resident of the state of Michigan, but anyone from out of state (OOS) pays a nonresident charge.

I don’t know anything about the exams in China, but it is possible that UMich expects you to take them. Maybe not, though. You should email the admissions office to find out if it would be okay to skip the tests.

Thank you~I have asked my counselor about the exam stuff and am waiting for her reply~
If I could graduate in two years, that would be fantastic!^_^

Check the UM website for tuition costs (sorry, I’m on a common use computer and it won’t let me copy the web address). COA for OOS is over 45k for jr and sr for 2008/9. Cost of tuition is about 33.5k (jr and sr pay over 2k more per year than fr and sop), and room and board is about 8.5k.

Here’s the UM COA webpage:

Thanx! Hope I can graduate in 2 years~otherwise the total costs…
I’m asking my counselor about the exam for this term which is the last thing that I need to make sure now.
