Transfer to University of Notre Dame or UC Berkeley?

What majors or departments are famous in Univ. of Notre Dame?
Which school has better reputation?
Where would you recommend me to transfer?

As long as I know, UCB is much more famous, especially in science field.

UCB is amazing in engineering, esp. civil engineering (#1 in the nation last year)

i hear the football department is pretty famous at ND

seriously though, as non-math/engineering majors go, they are fairly comparable schools. UCB does have the edge in math/engineering, as previously stated.

Does anyone have an acceptance rate and an actual number of out state students they take at UCB engineering for transferring? I heard it’s really tough to get in.

The admittance rate for Engineering at UC Berkeley is 19%. It is tough to get in and it helps to be a CCC transfer because they are given first preference.

what is CCC? i’ve seen it several places but never asked! is it community colleges, or anything got to do with it? sorry, i’m lost…

California Community College.

The admittance rate for Fall 2004 admissions of out-of-state applicants was 6%. Considering you’re applying to an engineering field, it’ll be lower. Good luck.

I was wrong about the 6%. Berkeley actually admits 14% of out-of-state transfer applicants.

Berkeley economics/business school dominates. It is a mock-wharton.
