Having trouble deciding this… I am an oos student currently at UGA. don’t get me wrong, I am having the time of my life here. However, I feel as if I am one of the “smarter” ones, and belong at a better institution. I also am in the extreme minority for being oos, and I feel as if I need more demographic diversity. I am from NC, so if I go to unc I will get in state, but I don’t want to be surrounded by the same people in high school (60 people from my class go there). I am on the premed track also. The cons of transferring would be the likeyhood of me not getting a high gpa at the better institution, compared to a 3.8+ I can get at Uga. Also, the people at UGA are my type of people, and I’m not sure I would have that same atmosphere at vandy or unc. I also want to study abroad, and transferring may affect that. Graduating from a more prestigious university is more impressive I feel like. Please help give me advice!!!
