Transfer to Villanova University Business School

Greetings,

I am currently a commuting freshman at Stevens Institute of Technology majoring in business & feel that the business program it serves just does not suit me; the only reason I chose to attend Stevens was to make my mother happy by staying at home the first year of college, so it was always obvious to me that I was eventually going to transfer out. I am considering two universities: Lehigh & Villanova. I know that they both have prestigious business schools & I am also planning on applying to Lehigh, but the deadline for the fall semester has just passed & I couldn’t finish my applications on time, so I am concentrating on getting accepted to Villanova right now.

My Statistics:
Race: I am Caucasian.
SAT: 2170(720 Math, 700 Critical Reading, 750 Writing)
High School GPA: 3.39(I know that it isn’t the best, but I didn’t try the least bit during high school.)
College GPA: 3.6(Keep in mind that I took 5 classes each semester & will have a total of 34 credits when this semester ends.)
High School Extracurricular Activities: I cannot remember any at the moment.
College Extracurricular Activities: I am a member of the Turkish Club & I believe that I can be the treasurer in the following years if I do stay, so with that in mind, maybe you can make a prediction of what my chances to get accepted for upcoming semesters will be if I can’t get accepted this term.
Background: I don’t come from a very prosperous family or city & my mother’s highest degree of education is from a foreign high school; almost all the students who graduate from high school end up attending a community college.
Recommendation Letters: I became close with some professors, so I am sure that I can get some very good recommendation letters from them.
Transfer Essay: I think that I am a good writer & I have started working on my transfer essay about a month ago, so I think that I can catch the admission officer’s attention with it; I will continue to have those at the school’s writing center & other professionals look at it as I am already having them do.

What do you all think my chances of acceptance are? Should I have my hopes high? I don’t know if my statistics are too good for or not good enough for Villanova University’s Business School, so if you believe that the school & I don’t perfectly match academically, where would you recommend I apply to? I am accepting any recommendations. Thank you for your feedback.

Best Regards,
Ezra
