Transfer ucla nursing

So I am a community college student with the desire to transfer to LA. I understand the transfer rate is low, so I am wondering what it takes to make your application worthy?
What kind of volunteer nursing experience should I get involved in and how many hours?

go to the ucla nursing school website. They have a supplemental questionaire all applicants are required to fill out. Doing the things they ask about would be a good idea.

Also you should check to see if your school is part of the UCLA TAP program – [Transfer Alliance Program - UCLA Undergraduate Admissions](http://www.admissions.ucla.edu/prospect/Adm_tr/ADM_CCO/tap.htm) It won’t give you preference for nursing, but it does mean that UCLA counselors come to your school and that the advisors at your school have contacts at UCLA. So you should be able to get more info via that route. And if they have the TAP program it would be a good idea to participate in it just to look better to UCLA.

make a plan to volunteer in hospitals.
